About Me
Hey, I’m glad you found me! My name is (DJ) TJ, and I have been running Varsity Sound Productions for the last 6 years. I started the company when I was 12 with the goal of using my technical skills to benefit those in my community. I am now 18 years old and this goal could not be more true to my work. Currently, I’m attending Penn State studying Sound Design with the hope to one day work as an audio engineer in a professional theater for a living! In the meantime, I couldn’t be more excited to work with you on your next party/event/production!
My Goal
When you hire me for your event I don't just promise amazing service, but I also guarantee an atmosphere filled with fun and excitement. An event with me is an event you'll never forget!
How It All Started
Videography is how I started gaining equipment. I would produce small videos, and present movies outdoors on a projector. This led me to keep upgrading my equipment until I eventually got better speakers. I used those speakers for the showcasing of the videos I made, but I also tried DJing with them. I enjoyed it so much that I pursued it. I then added more tools and components, until I became a professional DJ with proper speakers, lights, mixers, and more. At this time I operated as TJ’s Technology Services where I spent a lot of my time learning how to best serve my community. I have recently renamed my business to Varsity Sound Productions to reflect the services I provide and to point out the fact that I’m not the average adult DJ, but rather a high school student getting an early start in the industry.
Varsity Sound Productions was founded in April 2018 under the name TJ's Technology Services.
